Date:2025-12-02Dear teachers! For this lecture, we have invited Dr. Ping Mu . The title of the presentation is: The Two Faces of Prostate Cancer: Plasticity and Heterogeneity
Dr. Ping Mu is a Associate Professor with tenure in the Department of Urology at Yale School of Medicine and a member of the Yale Cancer Center. His research focuses on uncovering the molecular mechanisms of resistance to targeted and immune therapies in prostate and other cancers. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed postdoctoral training with Dr. Charles L. Sawyers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In 2018, he launched his independent lab at UT Southwestern and was rapidly promoted to tenured associate professor before relocating his lab to Yale. Dr. Mu has received numerous prestigious awards, including three NIH R01s (one as an R37 MERIT Award), the NIH K99/R00, two DoD awards, two CPRIT awards, and award recognition from AACR, PCF, the Welch Foundation, SBUR, and SAU. Outside the lab, Ping channels his energy into 3D printing, soccer, photography, officiating weddings, and mastering the fine art of handyman tasks.
